Ontario Lacus is a dark feature near the south pole of Saturn's moon Titan. Its name implies that it is a lake, but this is only speculation, and it may instead be a plain. It is named after Lake Ontario in North America, with which it shares a similar size and shape.
Observations by the Cassini-Huygens mission as of March 2007 appear to confirm that Titan does have hydrocarbon lakes, though the nature of these lakes is still quite uncertain.[1]
