I suspect the proposed merger with webmaster, along with citation tag and "poor quality article" reference were malicious actions by 203.208.102.224 as they occurred after I reverted that user's vandalism of Sydney gang rapes and Bilal Skaf. They would have come here via a link on my user page. See the admin comments from that time at User_talk:203.208.102.224. However, I have kept the citation tag on the article and it would be great if anyone can help improve it. Thanks. Tale 00:38, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed merge of Web producer

I have read the descriptions for both Online Producer as well as Web Producer. As a Web Producer myself, I see strong contrast in both areas. Although Web Producers are responsible for having knowledge of the technology being carried out by engineers as well as its possibilities or limitations, the main work of the Web Producer is to "keep things moving" efficiently, effectively, creatively and diplomatically. They must be able to be constantly re prioritizing throughout the day, keeping each project on time and flowing. They also have to have working knowledge of creative process and applications as well. All this plus SIA and content development....

Agree with merge, though it may be a tough rewrite. I think online producer could be expanded and the definition broadened to include web producer. I don't think there's enough difference betweeen "web" and "online" to justify separate articles. I think the two articles as they stand represent different perspectives. Online producer describes the job more from the perspective of delivering traditional media content online, while web producer is more to do with delivering a pure online product. [edit] Merge of Web Producer & Online Producer

As a web producer I agree that Due to the two being fundamentally the same thing, the two articles should be merged. Online Producers who produce content have a different skill set than those Online Producers who actually lead the functional design,development and delivery of an overall website. The two articles should be merged with subsections pertaining to different types of online producers Transcendz 04:43, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
