Only Hits Vol. 1 replaced the Totally Hits series by the Warner Music Group and was released on November 7, 2006. The purpose of the albums was a reply to the Now That's What I Call Music! series'.
With only 12 tracks on it instead of the 20 that albums in the Totally Hits series contained, the album flopped, reaching only #32 on the Billboard 200 and spending only 9 weeks on the chart[1].
