Onkel Kånkel

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Onkel Kånkel is a Swedish rock band prominently known for their provocative lyrics where they make fun of everything from homosexuals and pedophiles to Nazis and handicapped people. The genre they have created is often called "könsrock" (genital rock) in their home country of Sweden.

Although they're widely known in Sweden for their shock value, they have never sold many records. Nowadays however, the internet has spread Onkel Kånkel to new generations.

Their album Kalle Anka Suger Pung (Donald Duck sucks balls in english) briefly had some radio airplay, but the songs were quickly pulled off, most likely due to their inappropriate content.

Onkel Kånkel have been compared with Eddie Meduza and Johnny Bode.[1]

When performing Onkel Kånkel wears a mask to "not take away the mystery".[2]
