In Wikipedia you can use this simple case sensitive template whenever you need to show a precise geographic location on Google Earth, if installed, (http://earth.google.com).

Blank spaces in between must be converted to '%20'.
- The following opens Google Earth main program to [1] and shows New York City:
{{OnGoogleEarth|40°42'51.00N74°0'23.00W}}
- At the same way, with a decimal syntax, the following opens Google Earth main program to [2] and shows New York City:
{{OnGoogleEarth|40.72N74W}}
- Names as well are accepted instead of coordinates (New York) [3]:
{{OnGoogleEarth|New%20York}}
- When necessary the same template can be used with address strings (no blank spaces):
{{OnGoogleEarth|1000%205th%20Ave.,%20New%20York,%20New%20York%2010028-0198%20,%20USA}}
Opens Google Earth main program to: 1000 5th Ave., New York, New York 10028-0198, USA [4] and shows the New York Metropolitan Museum.
- When using Geographic coordinates, as described in the article Geographic coordinate conversion, please note that it will be better to put these formats (no spaces):
- 40°42'51.00N74°0'23.00W
- 40.620000N74.000000W
- or: 40.62N74W
