A tag has been placed on Ptolemy's Epistle to Flora, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Leuko 00:28, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

I recognized it was not nonsense, but it does not belong in wikipedia, but our sister project, Wikisource. I've tagged it accordingly. Please register there and add it, and if you have any more of these, great. We could use some help with articles on the general subject as well. DGG 00:46, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] text to be moved

Does not seem to be a problem, I'll give it a try then link the text to wikipedia

[edit] External links to blogs

Adding external links to blogs, as you have done to Idearc Media appears to violate both our reliability and external link policies. Please refrain from doing so in the future. Thank you. -- Avi 02:51, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your kind words. The link was to a blog. "David Messenger of Truth" is not a reliable source for information about Idearc Media, or anything other than his/her self (David Messenger of Truth is a psudeonym and may be female for all we know). In general, blogs cannot be used as reliable sources for any wikipedia articles. There are exceptions, such as the personal blog of a renowned scientist being used as a source for said scientist's views on something; but those are the exceptions and not the rules.
Also, see Wikipedia:External links#Links normally to be avoided point 2 and Wikipedia:External links#What should be linked point 3. I believe that linking to an individuals attack site is not acceptable under those circumstances. The claims are unverifiable research and are not neutral. That is why I think they are violations of our policy. Thank you. -- Avi 23:26, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
