Fair use in British one pound coin to illustrate annual variations in the reverse of the design of the coin; this design used in 2006. Fair use because it doesn't prevent the UK govt from making money, is of inconsequential use on Wikipedia, and is necessary to describe the differences.

This work is protected by British Crown copyright and is expected to lapse in the public domain in 2057. or in the case of banknotes is copyrighted by the issuing bank.
