"Once in a While" is a popular song.
The music was written by Michael Edwards, the lyrics by Bud Green. The song was published in 1937.
The song is a much-recorded standard; one of the best-known recordings was made by Patti Page in 1952. The song was revived in doo-wop style by the Chimes in 1960-61 (Billboard #11). UK singer Elkie Brooks released a single of the song in 1984 in support of her hit album Screen Gems.
