Once Was Not is the fifth album by Cryptopsy. A video was filmed for the track The Pestilence That Walketh in Darkness.
Unlike in previous albums, namely Blasphemy Made Flesh and None So Vile, on which Lord Worm's lyrics generally dwelt on poetic descriptions of gore, blasphemy, and sex, his lyrics on Once Was Not dealt with more realistic topics that affect the human race, such as war, famine, plague, and death.

[edit] Miscelanea
In the song The Pestilence That Walketh In Darkness, a quote taken from the Bible: "Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, for the arrow that flieth by day, For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand: but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the reward of the wicked."
