[edit] The company's name

The original name of the company, ÖMV, is an abbreviation for "Österreichische Mineralölverwaltung" (Austrian mineral oil authority). The phrase used in the article, "Österreicher mit Verantwortung" (responsible Austrians) is just an old TV ad slogan trying to achieve a positive connotation. The referenced literture doesn't mention the real meaning of the name OMV, just the slogan without explanation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Drsweeny (talk • contribs) 12:03, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Well, I looked up my source and it clearly states what I wrote, so this otherwise very interesting book about multinational companies contained the mistake. Thanks for the correction. Squash Racket 18:12, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Controversies bias

The Controversies section is worded such that it clearly violates the NPOV policy of wikipedia. Reword to eliminate the bias. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jason Quinn (talkcontribs) 23:39, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
