Omps is an unincorporated community that lies along U.S. Route 522 in Morgan County in the U.S. state of West Virginia. Omps previously had its own post office in operation between 1887 to 1973. Omps, while certainly a small town, does have its advantages. Foremost is the entrance to the Cacapon Resort State Park, which offers a wide variety of activities such as swimming, golf, horseback riding, an activities area, and a very nice state-run hotel. Omps has proximity to a fair number of other notable locations, such as Berkeley Springs.
