Talk:Omkara (film)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I think that the identification of Naseerudding Shah's character (bhaisaheb) with Brabantio is incorrect. In Shakespeare's play Brabantio is Desdemona's father, which corresponds to vakilsaheb in the film. Bhaisaheb corresponds to Venice's rulers, maybe the Duke would be the closest corresponding character.
Also, perhaps the style of the synopsis is not as neutral and factual as it should be. Phrases like "Omi goes about tearing up his own safe and secure world" and "But like all love stories which never really end" do not seem appropriate for an encyclopedia.

I'm going to edit out bits about Om being 'retarted'and 'unbormal' (sic). I'd suggest the author consult an English dictionary and ponder on whether Om or Othello were in any way retarded. Utter rubbish.
i saw omkara. it's really a nice movie. set in indian backdrop, it's screenplay is fantastic.
[edit] Synopsis copied from officia website.
The synopsis proided in WIKI has been copied from the official website of OMKARA...: [[[1]]]...... The official website has provided such sypopsis that would attract public, but the duty of the encyclopedia in to give information rather that copy stuff from here and there(the official site is sure to provide misleadind spnopsis) and publish on the encyclopedia.
[edit] List of Awards
Do we need such a long list of awards and nominations? i dont think they have any encyclopidic value, furthermore i think it was decided earlier tht Bollywood articles may only list Winners and not Nominations Quork 17:33, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:OmkaraStill.jpg
Image:OmkaraStill.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
