Omar Arellano (born June 18, 1987 in Guadalajara) is a Mexican football Winger currently playing for CD Guadalajara.Arellano played on Tapatio before being transferred to Pachuca's lower division team and eventually to Pachuca's upper division team. Before arriving on the Chivas squad, Arellano had played 394 minutes with Pachuca and had averaged out one goal every 131 minutes. He scored his first goal for CD Guadalajara against their town rivals Atlas, a match that is referred to as "El Clasico Tapatio" (Spanish for "Guadalajara's Classic", since Chivas is the oldest and Atlas is the third oldest of the Mexican League.

Mexican National team coach Hugo Sanchez picked him out as a young talent and gave him a spot on the national team. He made his debut to the Mexican National team on October 17, 2007, in the loss to Guatemala 3-2, where he subbed in during the late minutes of the second half. This has been his first and only game so far since Mexico's next game will take place some time in early 2008.
He was recently included in Hugo Sanchez's 25 man Pre-olympic squad tryouts. But he was one of the 5 players that didn't make it to the final Pre-olympic squad.
