Image:Olympic bassin on Ile Notre Dame.jpg

[edit] Summary

I have taken this picture with my camera and I am placing it in the public domain. It represents the Olympic Rowing Basin in winter, a few weeks before it is turned into a skating rink. The buildings to the left house spectators and judges and a snack bar. The buildings at the end of the basin house the boats. The rowing basin is on Ile Notre Dame in the middle of the Saint Lawrence river and it is part of the municipality of Montreal. About a third of the Jacques Cartier bridge is in the background and the tallest section seen runs over the Saint Lawrence seaway.
