Hi,
My name is Terry Corbyn, and while at school during my vacations I was employed by Fraser & Chalmers in Erith, Kent to be a computer operator for their Ferranti Mercury Computer. It was quite an experience, reading the scope whenever the machine failed. The languages we used were 3D-CHLF, but when the fourth drum was installed, the language became 4D-CHLF. Also, there was a type of machine language used by the turbine blade designers called PIG, which, at the time was way beyond me. Can you help me on this, and possibly stay in touch?
