Oleo (song)

"Oleo" is a Bebop composition by Sonny Rollins, written in 1954. It is one of the most popular pieces to feature rhythm changes. The performer is expected to improvise the B section, as only the A section is transcribed.

An early version of it, featuring Rollins, was recorded by Miles Davis in 1954 on the album Bags' Groove, and again in 1956 on Relaxin'. Other artists who have made notable recordings of the piece include Bill Evans.
