Olena works in art quilt media since 1995. As Olena describes her goal is to show the beauty of the natural world around us, express human feelings through a landscape, to show the beauty of different stages in human life through different seasons in nature. Using traditional beloved for many generations natural materials like cotton, silk, wool fabrics and fibers she creates multicolored painterly effect of tapestry by fabric painting, stamping, threadpainting, embroidery, felting and quilting techniques. Her fabric wall hangings are wonderfully rich in texture and color. The works are small for the quilt medium, but the detail achieved by the use of many different media and the careful study of the natural world is impressive
