[edit] Summary

Description Mulshi, Pune-India

Dr Ian Kitching quotes "How long the pupal stage lasts depends mainly on the temperature and maybe the time of year. If you are about to enter the dry season, then the moth probably will not emerge until the beginning of the next rainy season. If this you are in the rainy season, hen the moth could well be out in less than two weeks. In tropical conditions, with high temperatures, hawkmoth development in the pupa can be very quick. be careful not to let the pupa get too hot and dry out."
