[edit] Compact?

The class of this car is a compact, it seems. I don't understand why. I drive a 2004 Alero GL sedan. It has a V6 engine and its size, to me, classifies it as a mid-size sedan, not a compact. A Mazda3 or Ford Focus, for example, are compacts. They are smaller and have 4-cylinder engines. I, to date, have never seen a compact car with a V6 engine. S3BST3R 06:43, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

The US Gov't determines car class simply on the basis of cargo volume; so there is often little relationship to outside dimensions or engine size. 160.81.133.194 23:44, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Name
