This large factually based piece neglects to mention the vast array of working actors that have progressed from the ranks of the Oldham Theatre Workshop.

Think of the child actors who have come though shows such as Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Brookside and you will doubtless find a heavy proportion of OTW trained people.

That is not to say it is some kind of child star conveyor belt operation, more to acknowledge that the values that OTW instill in their students create the fundamental foundations that make for great durable −working actors

Also Oldham Theatre Workshop was founded by David Johnson and many years ago was open to all children from all walks of life and was free to attend. Since a change in management you now have to pay and the attendance level has dropped dramatically. Oldham Theatre Workshop had thousands of children attending and now it is the very few who can afford. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.43.190.159 (talk) 11:49, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
