I tried moving this article to an article heading with the 'special characters' but it didn't work very well at all. The history of this article is now on the redirect [[Staré MÄ>sto]]. I'll think twice before doing that again. --Randolph 04:08, 2 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] "Old Town" or "Staré Město?"

Sandius has moved "Staré Město (Prague)" and "Nové Město (Prague)" to "Old Town, Prague" and "New Town, Prague," respectively. I think there should be some communal agreement on what the proper format for Prague cadastral areas should be. We need to decide:

  1. Should we use the native name (Staré Město) or the exonym (Old Town)? When living in Prague, I usually used the native name, but tour books often use English translations.
  2. Should we change "Malá Strana" to "Little Quarter" and "Josefov" to "Little Quarter?"
  3. Should "Prague" follow a comma (as Sandius has done) or be in parentheses (as it was before)?
