"Old ones also refers to a vague legend similar to the Lovecraft mythos. A loose translation/explanation of this legend would be, They are beings that existed at the dawn (possibly before) of the universe, and as the physical and quantum laws setteled into place their powers waned, and their children (the gods we know now, think of the legend of the Greek titans) were able to force them from our reality and into other places of existance. It is also said that before this happened they were at war with each other, and they destroyed and usurped each other's staked out territories, and that their idea of death isn;t the same as ours, that one day everything will be right again, and they will be able to rise once more."

This was added by Lordmagnus (here). I think it desperately needs some reference or source, but since it's Lordmagnus' first contribution I'll assume good faith and not revert it right away. Can someone please cite some source for this? Take care --Xasf 09:04, 10 August 2006 (GMT+3)

I think that from a point of a reader, for example Lovecraft's or King's fiction,it does not need a source. It's simply a good conclusion. But of course, policy of Wiki needs a source or reference for an article. To find both side somewhere in between and surely assume good faith:)I suggest to leave Lordmagnus article here for now.It is very good "elaboration" for Old Ones, which is still very unclear and full of different oppinions.Articles like Lordmagnus are a very good sources for us readers and fans, even if it's not allways followed by clear sources. And sorry for my broken english:) Best wishes --Edge, 25 october 2006
