[edit] Hello

Hey there, saw your edit summary about the awesomeness of Rock Springs Massascre, as it's primary editor and creator let me say thanks. There are still a few minor issues to be worked out but I will be taking this to WP:FAC soon. Are you new around here? Couldn't help but notice the lack of comments round here.. : ) IvoShandor 17:57, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Red Desert (Wyoming)

Hi - I went ahead and created a very basic stub for Red Desert (Wyoming) to resolve the broken wiki link in Interstate 80. If you can help expand it, please do - I'm convinced its an encyclopedic article, it just needs lots of tender loving care (and pictures too). - CosmicPenguin (Talk) 01:48, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Very nice! This filled a fairly large gap in the articles for Southern Wyoming. Thanks for your work. - CosmicPenguin (Talk) 02:33, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:The Virginian.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:The Virginian.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:34, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Roguemagazine.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Roguemagazine.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:31, 16 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Anettedawn 03:31, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Roguemagazine.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Roguemagazine.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Anettedawn 03:35, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Rum Diary

Hi, how are you doing? I recently came across The Rum Diary (film), which I noticed you had created and have occasionally checked. I wanted to let you know that per the notability guidelines for future films, a stand-alone article is not yet warranted. Can I ask you to merge information about the film content to The Rum Diary (novel)? If production begins, the stand-alone article can be resurrected. Take a look at Shutter Island (film), Frankie Machine (film), and other examples at Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Future films/Merges of how to merge them. Please let me know if you have any questions! —Erik (talkcontrib) - 17:09, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The Rum Diary (film)

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article The Rum Diary (film), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Boysonthebus.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Boysonthebus.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

The following images also have this problem:

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Better than sex.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Better than sex.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 03:25, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
