Ohmori Harutoyo

OHMORI Harutoyo (大森治豊1852-1912) was surgeon and first president of Kyoto Imperial University extension campus Fukuoka medical school (京都帝国大学福岡医科大学 Kyoto Teikoku daigaku Fukuoka ika-daigaku?) present Kyushu University.
His statue exists in Igaku-bu sohritsu Nanajyu-go shunenn Kinen Teien in Kyushu University Maidashi camps. He was born in Yamagata ken and in 1879 graduated from Tokyo University medical school (東京大学医学部 Tokyo Daigaku Igaku-bu?), in same year he went to a new post in Fukuoka Igaku-koh.The second sergeant class of Kyushu University medical school was opened by professor OHMORI Harutoyo in May 1903. In 1885 Ohmori, when he was working in \the Fukuoka medical school (福岡医学校 Fukuoka Igakukou?), he did cesarean operation for pregnant woman at the first time in Japan, and incised the trachea of the baby in the state of apparent death and revived him.
