Talk:Ohio State Route 8
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The part that I wrote about opposition to Route 8 in Cuyahoga Falls came out of my head. Parts came from my aunt but I don't know where other parts came from. That section could stand proper references.

[edit] North end of Route 8
It is unclear to me where the Route 8 ends in the north. I hear it goes to Cleveland, but when I have followed it it the signs seem to disappear after the intersection with Van Aken in Shaker Heights. It doesn't show up north of there on the maps that I have checked, either. John Simpson's page says it is superceded by Route 422, but he uses the word "superceded" in other situations where two route numbers are used at once, so I'm not sure what to make of that.

- I found the answer to my own question. Using the TomTom map in my Palm I followed Route 8 all the way up to Public Square via Ontario. --Beirne 17:41, Feb 1, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Moulton Highway
I found this name whilst doing research on the Akron Innerbelt. Here is a link proving it...http://ultraskuzzi.co.uk/07101970.gif I'm not sure if the entire highway can be attributed to have this name or just the freeway portion.
- I don't think the name stuck. I live in the Falls where it has been known as the Ackerman Freeway (http://home.att.net/~imsys/sig_int.htm), although that name has fallen out of use. I'm guessing they both could be listed as historical names for the Cuyahoga Falls part rather than an official current name. What Route 8 does seem to be called is the Korean War Veterans Memorial Highway (http://www.ohhighways.com/exits/I77exits.html). I saw a sign to the effect yesterday coming down from I-271. --Beirne 23:26, August 4, 2005 (UTC)
