Oh What a Circus

"Oh What a Circus" is a well-known song from the 1976 musical Evita with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice.

The song share its tune with the better known, and generally slower tempo, "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina" from the same show.

The song was a hit for David Essex, who starred as "Ché" (the narrator) in the London stage version of the show. The song is featured early in the first act, as Ché ponders the reaction to Evita Perón's death.

Some of the lyrics are borrowed from the Catholic anthem Salve Regina.
