Yeah, scratch the surface as an editor and you'll find a dizzying array of policies, guidelines, essays, criticisms and whatnot lovingly packaged with confusing acronyms which are a bit in conflict with the idea that Wikipedia is not a bureaucracy. Some of these are actually interesting, or somewhat so. Be sure to confuse the conversation by sprinkling as many acronyms and short-term redirects in your discussion conversations as possible.

• Category:Wikipedia editing guidelines. Also good fun with Policies and guidelines.
• The Wikipedia Manual Of Style. If the above does not imperil WP:BOLD, this certainly does.
• When all else fails, WP:IGNORE.
• Ginormous set of WP:-prefaced redirects, or How to confuse your discussion partners most effectively

• Don't bite the newcomers.
