[edit] Video Games

In the Video Games section someone wrote:

"Wolfenstein 3D — a computer and video game originally released in 1992. Although not taking place in Colditz Castle, does seem to draw loosely from the escape stories related to it."

Could we get a confirmation on this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.113.185.85 (talk) 05:00, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hogan's Heroes

Is there any actual information to support the theory that this may have been the inspiration for Hogan's Heroes? (StarkeRealm 09:32, 1 November 2007 (UTC))

[edit] escaper - escapee

It escapes me why "87.80.246.98" refuses to register, considering that he has been editing articles regularly for many months.

However, he keeps changing "escapee" in this article to "escaper". Although both words are recognized, escapee is currently the preferred form, -

  • Oxford English Dictionary - see the definition for recapture: • verb 1 capture (an escapee)
  • Merriam-Webster Dictionary - see definition for escapee: : one that has escaped; especially : an escaped prisoner.
  • Wiktionary - escapee 1. Someone who has become free through escaping imprisonment.

Therefore stop the continual reverting.
