[edit] Speedy deletion of FTS Software

A tag has been placed on FTS Software requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Aradial Technologies

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Aradial Technologies, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.mitzmara.com/Aradial.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 11:47, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] FTS Software

Hello - I saw the note you left on User:JavaTenor's talk page, and I'm afraid you might be under a serious misconception about what Wikipedia is. It is not a business directory in which companies may "register"; rather, it is an encyclopedia that anybody can edit, with the theory being that a large enough number of editors will eventually form consensus on the ideal form for any article.
Like any encyclopedia, Wikipedia is somewhat selective on what it will have articles about (although unlike most other encyclopedias, Wikipedia is not constrained by book size - since it's electronic - or writer costs - since Wikipedia writers are volunteers). The primary discriminant for determining whether Wikipedia will have an article on a subject is notability. For a company like FTS Software to have an article on Wikipedia, it must demonstrate that it meets Wikipedia's notability standards for corporations. Even if it does meet these standards, its article must be written from a neutral point of view (meaning no advertising copy). You could attempt to rewrite the FTS article in such a way that it demonstrated notability and was written neutrally, but I have to tell you that my impression is that it's simply not a notable enough company to have a Wikipedia article, and any subsequent attempt you made would probably be deleted in the same way as your first was.
I hope this cleared up a few things; if you have any questions about this or any other aspect of Wikipedia, please don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 14:05, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
