Yati Octavia one of the most famous actresses in Indonesia. She mainly plays in drama or romance films. She was born in Jakarta, Indonesia October 20, 1954. She married actor Pangky Suwito and has four sons. One from previous married Syamsudin{Died}.

She started her film career very young, one of Yati's earliet roles was Brandal - brandal Metropilitan , then in 1977, she played the movie " Akibat Pergaulan Bebas " and " Ali Topan Anak Jalanan " which boosted her acting career. Yati Octavia became one of the most well paid actress earning 5 million rupiah which was very big at that time.
