The 1987 Oceania Club Championship (known as the Oceania (South Pacific) Champions' Cup at the time) was held in March 1987, with all games being played in Adelaide, Australia.

A knockout qualifying tournament was held prior to the tournament proper between all clubs except Mount Wellington, who were granted automatic passage to the next stage and Adelaide City, who would end up playing only in the final. From this stage one team would go through to the tournament proper. Ba FSC was granted a bye from the first round.
