One of the most classic formations of the Brazilian north-eastern metal, the Obskure initiated its its trajectory in May of 1989, for the hands of the brothers Amaudson and Jolson Ximenes. At a time where underground was marked for precarious productions, the Obskure surprises launching its first one demon-covers at the time with comparable quality to the best works of the style, being distinguished in Brazilian the Death scene Metal since the beginning of years 90.
Throughout 19 years of road, the group passed for ribbons demon (“Serious Uterus and” - 1990, “Opressions in Obscurity” - 1992 and “The Singing of Hungry” - 1994), participated of diverse collective records of independent stamps of Brazil and the exterior. In this period (1993) the band shows to its innovative trend to the being one of first the band of Death Metal of the world if to present to the living creature with keyboards, being propitiated a symphonic climate soturno and in its shows.
The group was one of the pioneers in the fusing of heavy/death melódico metal, with vocal going of the gutural to the lyric one, and influences new-act of it to grindcore. Already the letters, in English, privilege subjects politicians and antropológicos.
In 1998 it came the first proper CD, “Overcasting”, being cited enters the best ones of the year of 1999 in the magazine Brigade Rock and as a marcante fact in the history of the Brazilian metal, for the MetalHead magazine, considering the importance of a band legitimately uderground to launch a work of consistency and quality that make an impression. In 2001 the band launches promo-CD “The emptiness Spectable”, counting on the participation of Alex Camargo Krisiun in the vocal ones and being invited to touch to the side of the Krisiun in the show of closing of world-wide its turnê of the album Conquerors Of Armageddon in São Paulo. In 2005 one came promo-CD “From who stopped dreaming”.
The band if presented in some Brazilian cities, nine editions of the Forcaos festival and touching to the side of exponents of the Death Metal. The Obskure is in studio finally producing so promised according to album.
The Obskure was selected in the eliminatory South American of the Festival Wacken Open Air (Germany), will dispute in São Paulo day 10/05/08 the great end for the only vacant destined to Brazil.
