[edit] Categories

Hi there Oaklybuns and welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that you have been creating categories however you seem to be trying to use them as list articles rather than as categories. You have also been adding existing categories as sub-categories of your new categories in a way which is not logical. It can all be a bit confusing to start with so I will post some links after this note to help you find your way around. Looking at the type of things you have been adding to your category pages it seems to me like what you are really trying to do is create some list type articles - you would do this in exactly the same way as you created the categories, just miss out the Category: bit from the title of the page - but also remember that anything you create must conform to Wikipedia's policies - see links below. Good luck with your editing, kind regards, nancy (talk) 13:15, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Category:Nigerian journalists/internet

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. nancy (talk) 13:21, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] No content in Category:Internet news sites

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Internet news sites, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Internet news sites has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Internet news sites, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 04:00, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
