[edit] Name of station

Was the official name of this station "Oakley (Hampshire)" or just "Oakley"? If the latter, then I'd suggest a less ambiguous name for this article would be "Oakley railway station, Hampshire". --Dr Greg (talk) 12:26, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

I gave it this name as I thought it was common practice in the case of stations which share the same name; see, for example, the Bramptons and the Garstons. It's not pretty I know, but it seems to be the way things are done! Ravenseft (talk) 13:12, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, that is only my opinion. I have raised this question at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject UK Railways#Station disambiguation, so let's see what anyone else thinks. --Dr Greg (talk) 18:06, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
