Oakley Junior/Senior High School

Oakley Junior/Senior High School is located on Main Street in Oakley, Idaho. The current school building was built in 1997, but there has been a school in Oakley almost since it's founding. It is a small school which serves about 200 students from grades 7-12. Although it is a small school the students are able to be involved in many sports, clubs and activities. The school has football, volleyball, cross country, basketball, drill team, wrestling and track teams. They also have a variety of clubs some of the more prominent being student council, YMCA Youth Government, National Honor Society, Ski/Snowboard Club, Business Professionals of America, FFA and Rodeo. Two of the events most attended by the community at Oakley High School are the homecoming football game and the Junior Promenade. Oakley High School is a school proud of its heritage and school spirit with many traditions that have been passed on from the earlier generations of students at OHS. Oakley High School is known in its school district and in the state for generally having very high standardized test scores. The average class size at Oakley High School is about 25 which allows for a personal one-on-one education experience for the students with the teachers.
The school's mascot is the hornet. The colors are red, black, and white.
This past football season, the Oakley Hornets won the state championship of their division with a perfect 12-0 record.
