Re ; Doric Order

Widely attributed to the Dorian peoples, that are said to have invaded southern Greece from the north late in the second millennium BCE, the name Doric probably derives from Greek dorus meaning gift, whereby the Doric temple can be considered a gift to or from the Gods. As the ancient Greeks worshipped mushrooms, the Doric temple is essentially a geometric rendition of a huge mother mushroom surrounded and supported by her columnar offspring.

"Not gift and not mushroom" says Wetman.

"Is gift and is mushroom" says o8TY (who backs up what he says at FungiTecture). O8TY (talk) 10:17, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Wetman continues to remove the above text, but has yet to provide any sound reason for doing so. O8TY (talk) 14:19, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
