Jackson is the starting center for the Fresno State Bulldogs. Out of high school, Jackson was rated as only a two-star recruit by Rivals.com. During training, he proved that he could contribute to the team and became the starting center. In the starting role, Jackson flourished and was selected as third-team All-WAC. On April 25, 2008, Jackson declared for the 2008 NBA Draft.
