[edit] Vandalism?
Someone had edited the "History" paragraph to contain "John O'Phallus" instead of "John O'Fallon," the city's founder. This person had also changed the name of the city's baseball team to the "River City Rapers," when the actual name is the "River City Rascals." The person also says that John O'Fallon was a "noted misanthropist." Was this originally "philanthropist" before being vandalized? Does anyone know anything about John O'Fallon?
I reverted the changes, there was one update regarding a pie plate factory that may not have been vandalism, but the user that contributed it doesn't have a talk page. --harpchad 17:38, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Other things to add?
List of city Councilmen? Ward Map? City limit map?
Links to topo or sat maps? Deeper history of the town founding? Fort Zumwalt info? School district counts Crime stats
What else??
I either have or can find most of this stuff. Reverend Lee 15:24, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] 2006 Money.com Best Places to Live Information?
Culled from St. Louis Business Journal - July 17, 2006
O'Fallon was the only St. Louis-area city to rank on Money.com's 2006 survey of the best places to live.
Money.com ranked cities with populations between 50,000 and 300,000 people. Retirement havens where more than 40 percent of the residents are over 50 were also excluded.
O'Fallon population: 69,700 Survey rank: 39 Median household income: $65,788 Survey's average: $62,555 Between 2000 and 2005, O'Fallon had a job growth rate of 25.32 percent. Survey's average: 10.46 percent. O'Fallon's median home price: $219,066 List's average median home price: $256,659.
Is any of this applicable?

[edit] Megan Meier
While I can agree that mention of the MySpace.com harassment suicide merits inclusion, the form in which it has been presented needs some "fleshing out" and inclusion of societal affects. (effects?)
The Megan Meier suicide controversy involves residents of O'Fallon and nearby Dardenne Prairie; the Drew and former Meier residents are located in Dardenne Prairie, and the house addresses are rendered as Dardenne Prairie addresses in some instances and O'Fallon addresses in some instances. [1] A partner of the Drews who sent many of the "Josh Evans" messages, lived in O'Fallon. [2] The authors of the "Josh Evans" account involved falsely stated that the "boy" was a resident of O'Fallon.
Until these issues can be addressed, I have commented the section out of the viewable page. The information is still there, it just can't be seen without editing the page. Reverend Lee (talk) 20:09, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] NPOV
Just as the Megan Meier section, the following has been removed from the viewable page. The information is still there, the page must be edited to view it.:
Questionable political moves and a large increase in affordable housing led to increased traffic and crime rates.[neutrality disputed]

[edit] I've added the link to the Meier article in as a See Also
It's been a long while since this happened, and it was big news there. Enough time has probably passed. Lawrence Cohen 22:19, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
