Description
Deutsch: Local-Bahnsteig im U-Bahnhof 14. Straße–Union Square an der IRT Lexington Avenue Line, Blickrichtung Süden.
Hinter der rechten Wand und den Lüftungsgitter befindet sich ein ehemaliger Seitenbahnsteig, dessen Bahnsteigkante noch deutlich sichtbar ist. Darüber ist das Zwischengeschoss zu erkennen. Die weiß-roten Baken an der Wand weisen darauf hin, dass kein Raum zwischen Zug und Wand verbleibt.
Im Vordergrund sind die beweglichen Bahnsteigkanten (gap filler) zu sehen, die über Lichtschranken im Gleisbett gesteuert werden. Der Schriftzug lautet „Stand (C)le(ar)“, also „Zurückbleiben“.

Behind the wall and the black bars on the right there is an abandoned side platform, whose edge is still visible. The mezzanine is right above. The red and white stripe indicates that there is no clearance between trains and the wall.
In the foreground one can see the gap fillers that are automatically operated via proximity sensors. The writing on the floor says “Stand (C)le(ar)”.
