Just been watching the film again, anyone think that I should add in how she persuades the doctors to keep McMurphy in the institute against their jugement? Would add more detail to her sadistic and controlling characteristics explination. --Darnf 22:35, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Transformers reference
I removed the Transformers reference because it lacked any reference and the postulate seemed implausible. --66.215.129.27 14:53, 19 January 2007 (UTC)cac
[edit] High Anxiety
I think there should be a reference to High Anxiety, the Mel Brooks parody of psychiatric hospital-based films including "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" with I believe a "Nurse Ratched" as one of the protagonists.
[edit] Point
Problem here. In this article, it says that McMurphy sneaks "his girlfriend" into the hospital. In McMurphy's own article it says that he sneaks two prostitutes in. We need some clarification. Not050 (talk) 11:15, 11 January 2008 (UTC)Not050

[edit] Nurse Ratched = Professor Umbridge
After reading this article, I've deduced that Nurse Ratched and Professor Umbridge are pretty much the same character. Both are sadists, both have used torture as form of punishment, both are power mad, and both instill fear in their underlings. The only difference is that Ratched doesn't pretend to be sweet and huggable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.106.19.89 (talk) 06:11, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Agree. Although Ratched does try to conceal what she really is to the others. J.S.Lucindy (talk) 03:18, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
I also find the name Ratched to be reminiscent of the word "ratchet," as in the type of wrench, and not just similar to the word "wretched." This seems an especially apt name due to the character's forceful, manipulative ways. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.160.249.235 (talk) 18:16, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Nurse Ratched.jpg
Image:Nurse Ratched.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
