Nuri Şahin (born September 5, 1988 in Lüdenscheid, West Germany) is a Turkish football (soccer) player at the position of midfielder. He currently is under contract with Borussia Dortmund, but is on loan to Feyenoord.

On August 6, 2005, at the age of 16 years and 335 days, Sahin set a record by becoming the youngest player to have played in the Bundesliga, and became the youngest player to score in the Bundesliga on November 26, scoring against Nuremberg.

On the 5th of July 2007, Nuri Şahin was transferred to Feyenoord on a one-year loan agreement, where he was reunited with Bert van Marwijk, his former coach at Borussia Dortmund.

He was named as 'Best Opponent' by Mamadi Keita of Hamburger SV on the latter's official website.[1]

He won the bronze ball prize at the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru after a wonderful tournament finishing in fourth place, and is also the youngest player to have played and scored for the Turkish national team, ironically scoring against Germany.
