[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Znak osu.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Znak osu.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 23:32, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Not the logo, the whole page

My warning does not regard the logo (this will be dealt at the image page). The whole page is made up maily of material copied from the University's web page.  Andreas  (T) 23:46, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Detective Andreas:

That's some fancy detective work there... but... you should really look up what is copyrightable in the Russian Federation. Just like in the U.S., an organization that is paid for by taxpayers holds no copyright. Have you studied law in Russia? I have, so look it up. Even CSPAN in the US labels content as copyrighted... when.. in fact, it isn't according to the exceptions in the Copyright Act.

Show me where on this page it says this content is copyrighted.

Indeed, I have not studied Russian law, nor have most other editors of Wikipedia. Therefore, we need to be educated about this. I would kindly ask you that the next time that you upoad a text that you assume is not protected by copyright, you explain this at the talk page of the article, including the source from where you copied the text. This would make life easier for all of us. If no copyright notice is present on a web site this does not automatically mean that the site is in the public domain. Please consult Wikipedia:Copyright for details. In any case, your contributions are more that welcome.  Andreas  (T) 14:38, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Thank you , I will rewrite the page
