NPK rating

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

NPK rating (or N-P-K) is the acronym for the ratio of the chemicals nitrogen(N), phosphorus(P), and potassium(K) that are commonly used in fertilizers.

A fertilizer that is labeled 22-10-6 has 22% nitrogen, 10% phosphorus, and 6% potassium in it, with the remaining 62% made up of inert matter.
