Well it did happen, but I could not confirm that it happened on this date. --mav 23:27, 3 Nov 2003 (UTC)

It looks to me like the Iranian hostage crisis is listed as starting on each of the first four days of November. I was about 13 months old, so I don't know offhand which is right. The 'pedia article on the incident itself says the 4th. --Calieber 17:37, Nov 4, 2003 (UTC)

Eh? November 1 states that Khomeini instigated the thing by calling for protests on the 4th. November 4 states that militants took over the embassy on that day. Iran hostage crisis agrees with those two and November 2 and November 3 don't mention or link to the hostage crisis event. Are there sources outside of Wikipedia that disagree with this (I have seen some references to a November 3 start date for the hostage crisis, but the Nov 4 date is quoted more often - probably because it was already Nov 4 in Iran but still Nov 3 in much of the US). --mav
Well, it's settled then. I don't know how to read. --Calieber 21:19, Nov 4, 2003 (UTC)
