Nový Jičín (IPA[ˈnoviː ˈjɪtʃiːn]; German: Neutitschein) is a town in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has cca 26,500 inhabitants. The city is situated on the spurs of the Carpathian Mountains.
