Once these are addressed, the article can be renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake.

[edit] County flower gubbins

  • Can I just get this straight - the county flower appears to have been chosen by a plant charity. Not the people of Nottinghamshire, not tradition, not the elected bodies, but a charity as a self-promotion stunt. Is there any proof at all that the county is paying the slightest bit of attention to this? Can anyone find so much as one reference to it on the council site for example? Since there appears to be no official flower whatsoever, I'm removing the statement. Average Earthman 08:19, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] GA Nom Comments

This article is well on it's way to GA status, but still needs some work. I'd like to see the cultural section increased in size (you could put a paragraph in here about Robin Hood tourism), a little bit about history and Robin Hood: Do historians think the tale has a basis in history, what was life like in middle age Nottingham, etc. We also need inline references in this section and to have the lead brought in line with WP:LEAD. I'll put the nom on hold. --CTSWyneken(talk) 02:39, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] GA Failed for expired hold

I've failed the GA nom after the hold expiring for reasons above. Please improve the article as detailed and renom. It has potential. --CTSWyneken(talk) 12:39, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 2 things...

1, is this hawton church really a place of interest? because I can name a few churches as nice as this place.

2, do we (notts folk) have a flag? cos many other counties appear to. 82.15.7.144 21:37, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
