Paul Kaye - Dennis Pennis, was he a Nottingham Trent graduate or a Nottingham University graduate?

[edit] Links

Removed link to http://www.nottinghamstudent.co.uk/ as it doesn't related to NTU as far as I can see. If a viable reason for its return can be established then I see no reason for it not to return.

Removed links to http://www.live2flirt.co.uk/ and http://urn1350.net/ as both do not seem to have direct links to NTU or contain NTU related sections. Ideally links should have a solid link to NTU rather than a generic student theme. - (Polymorp 19:24, 14 December 2005 (UTC))

Unsure if www.themediaexperiment.com should be listed in the links section as whilst Russ is a student of NTU the sites doesn't directly involve the university. Polymorp 23:51, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] University ratings

(I'm posting this to all articles on UK universities as so far discussion hasn't really taken off on Wikipedia:WikiProject Universities.)

There needs to be a broader convention about which university rankings to include in articles. Currently it seems most pages are listing primarily those that show the institution at its best (or worst in a few cases). See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Universities#University ratings. [edit] Partner university

I've removed the section about the link with Ching Yun University since I couldn't find any evidence of this partnership. See my comments at Talk:Queen's University Belfast#Partner universities. Cordless Larry (talk) 19:42, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Do something about this page

Please, please, someone. This page isn't up to scratch with other uni pages. A 'new building' with 'new lifts'... is that as important as the clubs and societies on offer, the halls of residence, or the laudable Nottingham Law School? Though not. Let's get more decent information on here and more flattering images. People actually read these articles, and a bad one can maker or break decisions to study at an institution. Can someone refine it please? —Preceding unsigned comment added by N0105143 (talk • contribs) 02:03, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed merger of List of Nottingham Trent University alumni

This is a short list, too short to stand alone, and some of it unsourced. It would be better merged here. We do not have separate alumni lists for any other university that I'm aware of. Comments welcome. --Rodhullandemu 17:19, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

See Category:Lists of people by university in the United Kingdom. There are a few, but you're right: this list should be merged in. — mholland (talk) 01:28, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Oh, good grief. Can of worms. I'm not sure what is meant by "X university people" anyhow. It could include almost anyone. I think these lists should be restricted to notable alumni and if they are too short, merged into their parent articles. This one, to me, is an obvious case in point, since my experience thus far is that they tend to be magnets for self-aggrandisement or pranking, and it's easier to watchlist n articles than 2n. --Rodhullandemu 01:40, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
