Talk:Not Just Another Bogus List

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Probably should be written as "(Not) Just Another Bogus List"..

My IP got listed in there somehow, even though I have no open relay, and I've noticed on my mailserver that alot of other people are getting labeled by NJABL although I know a few of them are *NOT* relays, infected with adware, do direct spamming, etc. So I'm not sure how they got my IP. Attempts to get my IP removed from their online removal tool, claims I'm listed in the dyndns blocklist, but that it couldn't find me to remove my ip (??). I smell bugs.

I also have just discovered that my IP is in the DynaBlock list. As best as I can tell, it is there only because it is a dynamic IP address, I have RoadRunner as my ISP, that is the IP that is being blacklisted, so by that logic, if any spammer uses Roadrunner, everyone using RoadRunner, at least within that block of IP addresses, however they define "block" will be instantly black listed. I am not sure it's a bug, I think it is just a bad idea all around. Looks like credit reporting agencies for the internet, easy to get on the list, impossible to get off.
