Nottingham Psychogeographical Unit
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Nottingham Psychogeographical Unit was founded in Nottingham, in 1994 by Onesto Lusso, Minky Harry and Dade Fasic. It produced videos, writings and mental maps based on psychogeography. It moved to London, UK, in 1998 where it collaborated with Jason Maling, Thierry Malard, Nicoline Van Harskamp, Nicola Demenge, Fabrizio Belletati and Luther Blissett, among others. In 2001 its members scattered around the world. The NPU archive is with its last president, Dade Fasic.
In 2002 the unit argued in an article "Stop this building madness" that "there are already too many buildings and calls for all new developments to be stopped immediately. Recent new buildings should be torn down according to popular demand from local residents, they say, and citizens should be given total administrative power over development."[1]
