Coordinates: Nostrand Avenue is an elevated station on the Long Island Rail Road's Atlantic Branch in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn. The station has two side platforms located in the median of Atlantic Avenue. Entrances and exits are located at Nostrand Avenue and New York Avenue. A ticket booth is located at the Nostrand Avenue end of the eastbound platform, along with two daily ticket machines. This station can platform a 6-car train. This station is also in proximity to the A and C trains two blocks north at Fulton Street. Trains leave every 15-25 minutes during peak hours, and 30 to 55 during off peak hours. 24-hour service is provided at this station. Connections exist to the B25, B44, and B65 bus routes.
The station resembles a typical elevated New York City subway station.
